What if one of the biggest missing pieces in chronic illness recovery is gut health?

In this episode of Never Been Sicker, Michael Rubino sits down with Craig Brockie to discuss the connection between gut health, mold exposure, detox, fermented foods, and chronic symptoms. They explore how antibiotics, toxic load, poor indoor air quality, and microbiome imbalance may all contribute to ongoing health issues, and why healing may require looking at both the body and the environment.

Craig shares his personal health story, why gut repair became such a major focus for him, and how fermented foods and probiotics became a key part of his routine. He also opens up about discovering significant mold growth in his own HVAC system and how that exposure affected his household.

In this conversation, they cover:
- How gut health affects mood, immunity, and inflammation
- Why mold and toxic exposure may disrupt the gut
- Signs your gut may be struggling
- The role of fermented foods and probiotics
- Fasting, detox, and other wellness tools
- Why some people stay sick even when they are trying to heal

If you have been dealing with chronic symptoms and feel like something is still being missed, this episode offers a broader look at how internal health and environmental health may be working together.

SPEAKER_00

My name is Michael Rubino. I'm on a personal mission to make sure that you don't get sick inside your own home.

SPEAKER_01

I knew there was something about it. I just simply believe there's something that you can do about it.

SPEAKER_00

So you recently read a book and it's right here, so pick it up. And uh well, first off, tell us what this book is about.

SPEAKER_02

Well, it's called Ultimate Health: How to Break Free From Your Health Issues and Live Your Best Life. So I released that about two years ago now, and it was doing really well on Amazon. Amazon actually banned this book recently. Incredible. So and they would not give me a full explanation why and allow me to fix it. They just pulled the title. So I feel like there must be some truth in there, and I must be over the target in terms of what Big Pharma doesn't want you to know about being healthy. But basically it covers everything from head to toe, from your insides to your outsides. Wow. Like how to how to make your skin look youthful, how to handle you know emotional and mental conditions, and you know, how to be stronger, younger, pain-free. It's all in there.

SPEAKER_00

Why do you think they pulled it from Amazon? I know you didn't get an explanation. Do you have any any thoughts or ideas on why that might be?

SPEAKER_02

Well, it's really a mystery to me in terms of the content, because the feedback I was getting from people reading the book was actually very good. 4.7 star average, great, great feedback. But, you know, I teach people how to be healthy and happy without drugs and surgery. So I think that's more than anything the issue at the moment. And there's a lot of stuff in there that big pharma does not want people to know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that makes sense. You know, we've been talking a lot about big pharma recently on the podcast and just the medical industry as a whole. What are some of the things that you see that are really challenges? Is is it is it because we're kind of focused on sick care instead of welfare? Like what do you think the problems are?

SPEAKER_02

Well, at the end of the day, it's a business and money comes before people, unfortunately. So, you know, customers for life means people that are sick for life. And keeping people, it's like a disease management system, really. How can you keep people just with enough benefit that they stay on your protocol? But I mean, psychiatric meds are a perfect example of that. I know someone who's been on psychiatric medications for about 50 years now. And he's you know, he's on anti-anxiety medication, antidepressants, but he's the most anxious guy I know. And, you know, these things just don't really work. You have to get to the root problem and handle what's really going on with the person.

SPEAKER_00

So you mentioned in your own story that you were dealing with some anxiety younger when you were younger, and you kind of were able to handle that without these medications. Can you share a little bit about what you did?

SPEAKER_02

And yeah, well, one thing I learned was that my body was highly acidic and it was also overgrown with candida yeast, which is a fungus. And then also I had what's called leaky gut, which is where your small intestines are actually leaking, and stuff that you're eating and and drinking is actually leaking into your bloodstream before it's properly broken down. So these things become toxic to your body and your immune system goes crazy because they're wondering what why is this stuff floating around in your blood? And so I think anyone with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, a lot of chronic conditions can be traced back to leaky gut. And by healing the gut, things improve. But the other thing about gut health is not only does it help with your immune system, but a lot of neurotransmitters are produced in the gut. In fact, there's an article right on the American Psychological Association's own website that acknowledges that 95% of serotonin, which is the feel-good neurotransmitter, is actually produced in the gut. And another thing is a lot of people are taking GLP1 peptides these days to try and lose weight. And obviously they're controversial. I don't necessarily think they're the worst thing. And I do suggest people do things sooner that are different. But your body is actually supposed to produce GLP1 naturally in your gut. And there's different things in your microbiome or different bacteria or probiotics that can actually help produce GLP1. So, I mean, there's everything from neurotransmitters being produced in the gut. And then also, you know, if you're overweight, sometimes that affects how you feel about yourself, also. So there's all these things that really connect a lot together.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and obviously you you just talked a lot about gut health and how, you know, 95% of the serotonin is produced in the gut, what that does to somebody. And obviously that's really important. Talked about weight a little bit. Why else gut health? What else is there to really be concerned about in terms of gut health? And why is focusing on gut health so important to you?

SPEAKER_02

Well, there's been an outright assault on our guts, um, our intestines, the foods we're eating, the drugs we're taking. Um, there's a chemical called glyphosate that's quite controversial. That destroys the gut. Antibiotics have been so overused, and those wipe out the good bacteria as well as the bad bacteria and leave you prone to overgrowth of bad bacteria and fungus. And that's what I had going on. Actually, I took tetracycline in high school. I was quite self-conscious about having acne. And I learned that there was this miracle antibiotic that I could take that would help reduce the acne. So I was like, I asked my doctor for that. And he said, you can take this, but you shouldn't take it for more than six months. And I actually just pleaded with him to take it for 18 months because I just wanted the results. But I honestly think six months would have been enough to destroy my gut anyway. But soon after that, my immune system was shot, my anxiety went up, all these problems came in. So there's just this assault on our immune system and sorry, gut health and immune systems. I mean, everybody's so toxic these days. There's chemtrails in the sky, there's uh things we're breathing in in our home environment, like molds and all kinds of things that you're very familiar with. There's just so many things that are loading up in our bodies, and healing the gut is just fundamental because that's where your nutrition is assimilated and your nutrients are absorbed. So even if you're taking expensive supplements, if your gut health is destroyed, then you're not going to necessarily be absorbing these things and assimilating them and getting the benefit from them. So there's just all these things tied together.

SPEAKER_00

There is a huge intersection with what I do and what you do, specifically with mold and the things that you're exposed to in your own environment. It does impact the gut health. And obviously that's a big, big important piece of this. And I know a lot of doctors are focusing on detoxing, right? Removing the uh toxins from the fat layer of the cell. Um, but some of these toxins are water soluble, some of them are fat soluble, and we know that they're impacting the gut as well. And I think gut health might be the missing piece for some people that are not getting as as well as they should uh by focusing on obviously handling the toxins. What are some things that that people can do to start improving their gut health?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, the fact that Amazon banned my book is actually a good thing because now I give it away for free on my website. It's a free PDF download that anyone can get. So I highly recommend anybody check out my website and download my book and start reading through that because there's just so many things a person can do to improve their life. And since the book's been banned, I've actually reached over a thousand people. I was only getting a few sales a day before when it was for sale. Now that it's free, I've just had so much more reach with it. But things people can do, like there's a sauna detoxification program people can do where you're taking niacin to help flush and get your your body circulation going with jogging. You're familiar with that program. Of course. One of the best ones, I've seen somebody actually get rid of Parkinson symptoms going through that program. Wow. Yeah. And there's so many things like cleaning out your liver. I explained how to do that. Another thing, people, if they don't want to read my book, they can go to X and follow me on X because I do these threads or posts all the time. For instance, I have one about cleaning out your liver, cleaning out your bowels. All these things are so fundamental. So I suggest people start actually out with cleaning out their colon because that's where your most toxic substances are there. And you anyone with constipation, if they're trying to handle detox with constipation, it's just a recipe for disaster. So you got to get things moving, sweating, and uh things are gonna look good, look good for you, you know, if you start taking control of your health.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. Now you mentioned X, you've you've amassed a huge social media following. Why do you think uh you've been able to really help so many people become aware of this issue?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think it's because there's not much of a filter on what I say. So I tell people what I believe to be the truth. I don't think that I know everything about everything. And I've uh it's one of those things where the more you know, the more you realize you don't know. So I try to be humble and respectful about it, but I don't sugarcoat things when it comes to big pharma or you know, protocols that are harming people. And then also, there are such inexpensive and easy to do protocols that a person can try for themselves. Like, for instance, fasting. It doesn't get any more affordable than fasting. In fact, it's more affordable than what you're doing today, which is eating food. So fasting for 72 hours or longer, which you can do, is going to have a profound effect on your health. And so that was a post that I did and it got over 20 million views on the first uh first go. And we ran it a few months later and got like 15 million. So, you know, fasting, give that a try, everybody. It's it's definitely something that's gonna move the needle for your health.

SPEAKER_00

Can you explain a little bit about fasting and why it has so many amazing benefits?

SPEAKER_02

Well, again, I'm not necessarily an expert on fasting. I've done some fasting, but there's some just profound results. In fact, anyone who's got cancer, in my book, I've got a chapter called terminally well. There's an expression of terminally ill, but I like to flip that over and say, let's be terminally well. Let's be, let's be in good condition until we drop our bodies or die. So in that book, I mention first, you know, if you had a terminal illness, what would you do? And what would I do? And there's different protocols in there. If I were to have terminal cancer, I'd do X, Y, and Z. And one of the things I recommend is fasting and prolonged fasting. I know one of my mentors, Dr. Eric Berg, he also recommends prolonged fasting if you had terminal cancer or one of these terrible conditions. It just allows your body to get rid of all the sugars that are, you know, stimulating things and causing problems, detoxification, and just the repair that you get when you're not ingesting food is something that's hard to match with any kind of other medical approach, I think.

SPEAKER_00

Wow. So you already mentioned that you have no filter, so I'm gonna go ahead and just ask you some straight questions here. What's some of the biggest lies that you've uncovered just in the overall health and well-being that uh, you know, you mentioned earlier some stuff that big pharma doesn't want you to know about. What have you really uncovered in terms of lies that uh really helped you move the needle in the right direction?

SPEAKER_02

Well, the first lie is that the medical system is designed for you to be healthy because that's 180 degrees off the the truth. They want people sick, they want people to be dependent on drugs and surgery. Also, there's a tendency to really get specific on things. You want you go see a doctor and they don't really understand the big picture. They've been trained in a very, very specific slice of what is medicine. And they've also been uh indoctrinated by Rockefeller medicine, as I call it. Back a hundred years ago, people used sun and they used herbs and nutrition and clean water, and there wasn't all this pesticides like that. Was after World War II, where pesticides got really widely used and all the toxicity really went crazy. Nowadays, I mean the spraying is from above. You want controversial. A lot of people don't even believe in chemtrails or believe that they're true, and it's just it baffles me, really, because there's days where you look up in the sky, it's clear blue sky, not a single thing going on. And then there's some days where it's almost disgusting where there's so many lines in the sky. And you just have to ask yourself, well, did the air traffic just stop one day? Or like, why is there heavy spraying one day and not another? And there's a few good documentaries. I believe one's called What on Earth Are They Spraying, or What in the World Are They Spraying? And then Why in the World Are They Spraying? Those two documentaries, you may not even be able to find them on YouTube. You might have to go to Rumble or one of these alternative platforms. But if you see that, you just can't unsee it. Like once you understand that information. And there's things like heavy metals in the sky, there's aluminum, heavy aluminum. That's also linked with Alzheimer's. So there's not only is big pharma not trying to make us permanently better, but there's an ongoing attack from big food and DARPA or the defense people, military, just trying to mess us up as much as they possibly can. I think the shots that people got a few years ago were another example where there's all heavy, heavily uh miscarriage, uh women having problems with the periods, men dropping dead of heart attacks at young ages. I mean, there's an outright attack on humanity. And there's also a move right now, if you really want to go deep on it, uh, towards a transhuman movement, in my opinion, where they're trying to merge man with AI and make get rid of the human spirit and just make us mechanical and controlled. And that's that's what I think we really need to be aware of and not let happen. And that's why I believe that the group that you and I are involved with is such a good one because we teach people how to be happy, healthy without drugs and surgery and how to become the best version of themselves.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, I think that's very important. Uh, I haven't seen those documentaries, so I I don't have the probably the wealth of information that you do regarding what's going on. But I did see recently that uh Governor DeSantis uh just banned the use of spraying anything out of planes in the skies above Florida. So obviously there's gotta be something there.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Why would you write a law to protect yourself against something if that's not actually occurring, right?

SPEAKER_02

Right. And uh a lot of my friends here thought it was over, and unfortunately it's not because I think either they're not paying attention to the law and not respecting the law, or they're flying in the planes from Georgia or uh an ex state over, but they're still happening. The coolest thing in one of my viral videos on TikTok, I've I've had I do really well on X, but short form video haven't really broken through yet. But one thing that did blow up was during the uh government shutdown, I think that was September, right? This year or last year rather. And I noticed that the chemtrails stopped when the government shutdown. And I actually did a video. I was like, wow, did did the government shutdown cause chemtrails to end? And it seemed to be the case because there was no chemtrail activity for about two weeks during the government shutdown. I was like, wow, this is the best thing ever.

SPEAKER_00

Is there some way to monitor the chemtrail activity?

SPEAKER_02

I think there is a website that that shows uh satellite imagery of that. I'm not sure what it is. There's a different Facebook groups you can join that are really into this. I used to be really passionate about this. I remember going to a pass um a protest in uh Santa Monica, California, one time. And there's people that are really, really upset about it. And I used to be really mad about it. And now I just I don't know how I feel about it. But every morning when I wake up to watch the sunrise, which I highly recommend, I will see, observe if there's chemtrails going on, or I'll see them, whether they're happening in the day or not. Sometimes I report on it, but usually not.

SPEAKER_00

So you mentioned sunlight, and obviously we keep talking about sunlight and it's important. So why uh why do you incorporate sunlight into your healthy routine?

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Well, I think there's another lie is that the sun is harmful to you. I mean, obviously going out in the midday sun without conditioning your skin and burning yourself is a bad idea, and that could probably lead to skin cancer. But seeing the sunrise, I mean, the UV level is so low in the sun uh in the morning and right before sunset also. A lot of people are into red light therapy these days, too. But I mean, watching the sunrise, sunset, these are the most natural red light you can get. There's an interesting guy named Dr. Jack Cruz. I don't know if you're familiar with him. It's spelled K-R-U-S-E, very unusual last name for Cruz. But um, he's gone down the rabbit hole of sun and why it's important. But over a hundred years ago, people actually would use something called heliotherapy, which is healing from the sun. People have actually overcome tuberculosis from getting sun exposure. There's just so many benefits of it and when used responsibly. In fact, my opinion is that using chemical sunscreen is far worse for you than getting sun exposure. And if someone is prone to burning, actually getting morning sunlight can help with that, actually conditioning your skin. And there's actually a peptide, and I offer a free peptide cheat sheet or information on my website, craigbrockey.com, I think forward slash cheat sheet, where I go over different peptides. And one of the peptides I like a lot is called melanotan one. And it's actually a peptide you can inject or you can use by nasal spray, and it helps with your skin tolerance for the sun. So you can actually get a deeper tan by using this melanotan, and you get less prone to burning. And there's just so many benefits of sun that I think more people should get out in the sun. In fact, my opinion and the research indicates that these artificial lights that we have around us, especially LED lights, are terrible. And I suggest people swap out at least in their bedroom incandescent bulbs, like those old hot ones. Yeah. And use those in your bedroom so you're not inundating yourself with this unnatural blue light. Dr. Cruz goes deep into that also and why blue light's so harmful for you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, there's been a lot of obviously emerging science regarding lighting and the importance of it and having natural light as much as possible and staying away from these flickering LED lights that unfortunately are uh we're in basically uh being exposed to right now. Um, but we also see a big movement towards peptides and the use of peptides. So I'm glad you mentioned this cheat sheet. Uh, can you share a little bit about peptides and and their use and what you use them for?

SPEAKER_02

Right. Well, I've got a a bar fridge in my office at home, and it's basically my peptide fridge. I've got probiotics and peptides in this fridge. So I'm I've really gone deep down the rabbit hole. And in fact, on my peptide cheat sheet, I believe there's over 30 listed there. There's some that you can take orally too, which is cool. Uh, not everyone wants to be a pin cushion.

SPEAKER_01

Sure.

SPEAKER_02

But um there's all different kinds that have all different profound effects. I mean, the GLP ones do work. The controversy about it is a lot of people abuse them, in my opinion, or they're not fully educated on A, how to avoid having to use them in the first place, and then B, using them responsibly so they're not actually losing muscle and tanking their uh metabolism and all these kinds of adverse effects or getting nausea, or you know, there's there are side effects that you can definitely avoid. I actually have a free guide on my website too about how to responsibly use semaglutide or trisepatide also because I've used them and I think they're you know, they have their place for sure. Sure. But anyway, there's ones that can help improve human growth hormone, there's ones that can help stimulate uh testosterone production. There's just so many different peptides. So there's one's called BPC 157, that's kind of like your gateway peptide outside the GLP ones, and that helps with inflammation and pain. Some people that have had chronic shoulder injuries for years and years and years start injecting BPC 157, and within a few weeks they're don't even know that they had an injury before. So it's it's really a cool area, and I think it's something everyone should at least take a look at.

SPEAKER_00

So uh I do have this amazing machine in front of me. You want to care to explain what this is?

SPEAKER_02

All right. Well, this is my bread and butter, the book. It's free. Obviously, it's not a profit center. This is what I do professionally. A book came out about three years ago called Super Gut, and this is an excellent book. I highly recommend anybody read this book. But in it, the author teaches people how to make their own probiotics at home. So a lot of people take probiotic capsules, and those are fine, but they're not necessarily the most effective approach. First of all, they're freeze-dried, so they're kind of dormant. And by also, they're kind of expensive. You're popping a pill every day. So, what's cool is that a lot of probiotics, you actually make your own version of them at home. So you use this machine here, which holds a very consistent temperature, and you open up one capsule and add some cream or coconut milk or whatever you want to use, and you can actually Actually, ferment your own probiotics at home. And the cool thing is, what I mentioned in my book, when I was, I don't know, I think I was in my 20s still, I was using probiotics, but not really getting any benefit. And then I discovered this one that's made in Canada. It's available in the United States also. It's called BioK Plus. And I'm not an affiliate, but I think it's a great product. You can actually find it in Whole Foods. So you can actually order it on Amazon. And it comes in a liquid format, and there's three specific probiotic species in there. I found that was a total game changer for my health and my immunity and my digestion. So it really, when I learned about this book and making your own probiotics at home in liquid format, it just stood out to me as wow, that could probably work. Just like it was just one of those things. Hey, that's gotta be helpful. So I started doing it myself and I found profound effects. It was really, really good. So then I decided I wanted to be the number one seller of this machine that makes probiotics on Amazon. And that's what we are now. And we're in Target.com, we're going to Walmart stores this year.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_02

We're on Best Buy.com, Target.com. Anyways, it's a fun game. I love selling on Amazon. I love helping people be more healthy. And it's something that definitely the feedback we get from it is incredible.

SPEAKER_00

That's awesome. Congratulations on that. No, it's really exciting. So, what is it that what the consistency is like normal yogurt?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, you have total control over how you make it. So if a person wants to, for instance, have a more liquid version, kind of like a drinkable yogurt, that's fine. Or if you want it thicker, you can do it that way. If you want it to be like Greek yogurt, you can do that also. And we offer a free guide when you purchase it. Actually, you don't even have to purchase our machine to get a free guide, but um, we teach people how to do it. And it's very simple. It takes just a couple of minutes to start a batch, and then you wait either, you know, 12, 24, 36 even hours. Some people want to ferment it really, really long and get the most strength out of the probiotics. Dr. Davis, in his book, he recommends 36 hours of fermentation. And most store-bought yogurts. What's interesting is that I like I don't think anyone should ever take store-bought yogurt again unless they just want to eat it as like a dessert and you know, for their taste buds, because the the actual health benefits of store-bought yogurt is almost nil because there's only two really uh ineffective species in there, and then it's only fermented for about six to eight hours. Now, kefir, on the other hand, or kefir, depending on how you want to pronounce it, usually has multiple different species of robotics. So if you're gonna, you know, choose between the two, I would definitely suggest kefir or kefir. And but the cool thing is that you can take just a little bit of kefir and you can make your own probiotic yogurt with it, or making your own kefir at home. So instead of buying expensive stuff at the store, expensive probotics, you're just making your own at home. It's really cool.

SPEAKER_00

It's amazing. So there's really no excuse not to have good, clean yogurt that actually has benefits the gut.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think so. I mean, even if you're dairy intolerant, there's solutions with different like soy milk is good, especially if it's organic, because soy gets treated with a lot of chemicals in the in the fields and so on. But I mean, coconut's another one that works as well. So yeah, I highly recommend fermented stuff is great, like um sauerkraut, kimchi, all that kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_00

That's awesome. So when it comes to fermented foods, what are some of the benefits of having fermented foods versus non-fermented foods?

SPEAKER_02

Well, first of all, if a person's digestion is messed up, which is very common, fermented foods are already kind of predigested. So they're really easy to digest. Also, they help support your gut health in general. And, you know, they have probiotics in them, so they're helping populate your gut with good probiotics. There's just so many benefits to them. Obviously, having vegetables is a great thing. Even the process of making sauerkraut, for instance, I believe increases the vitamin C content in them or it makes it more bioavailable. I'm not sure which. But there's just so many good things about fermentation. And I don't see any reason why a person wouldn't want to experiment with that. There's ways of making it taste good. So when you make yogurt with this machine, especially if you're going to 36 hours, it's typically a little more tart or sour than what you buy in the store. And if you want to do a ketogenic solution, I buy these uh little flavored stevia drops. So I've got berry ones. There's one for butterscotch I like a lot, or vanilla if you want to just go that way. Anyway, there's like dozens of different flavors you can put in here that are zero carb. And that's the other thing I highly recommend is people reduce their carbohydrate intake, especially if they're trying to heal their body and or lose weight.

SPEAKER_00

So uh we talked a lot about obviously gut health today. And I think one of the things that I'd really love to know is what are some of the symptoms that people can experience when their gut health is destroyed? Obviously, it can be destroyed in many different ways: antibiotics, mold, glyphosate, we talked about this. What are some of the symptoms that people typically complain about uh when they're dealing with gut health issues?

SPEAKER_02

Right. I mean, the obvious ones are things like bloating, gas, indigestion, acid reflux, constipation, all those types of things are indicators. And a lot of people just kind of like those are normal for them now. So they just kind of accept them that that's how life is and move on. But if you're not having two bowel movements a day, chances are you're constipated. And if you're having gas after meals, that's not ideal either. So, and the thing that I know, in my opinion, is that these are early warning signs. So even if you don't have more serious conditions going on currently, if you let that go, it's just an accident waiting to happen. And whatever your next weakest link in your body is, and I think that's where genetic genetics comes in. I think here's another thing I think is complete bullshit is genetics. Doctors like to explain why you have a problem, and they just say, Oh, it's genetics. You know, you just that's the way it's gonna be, Craig. You're fucked. Don't even try to do anything about it. Take this drug and we'll try to hide the symptoms. But in my opinion, uh, genetics just comes down to well, what's your weakest link in your body and what's prone to uh fall apart? So, but the thing is, here I'm at 51, I feel like I'm 20, my energy levels are high, and I sleep like a baby, the stress levels are are low, and you know, life is fun. So when you're in that condition and you don't have bad people dragging you down, then it's pretty hard to get sick. And even if you have a predisposit predisposition to something, it's unlikely that it's gonna flare up. So that's what I think gut health and detox and all these things, sunlight, all these things tie together. And that's why I think people should read my book. It's free, covers everything head to foot, what could go wrong in your body and how to correct it.

SPEAKER_00

Now, the next thing that I think people are typically talking about these days is longevity. Uh-huh. Right. How might gut health affect longevity?

SPEAKER_02

Well, obviously, inflammation is something that causes rapid aging. You see that in people's skin. Anyone who's smoking, drinking, alcohol, inflaming, and toxify like if you're adding toxins to your body and you're inflaming your body, that's gonna make things go quicker in terms of looking older. And that's actually probably one of the reasons I look so young for my age. I looked back at when I was 21, my health fell apart. And I thought it was the worst because I was just in terrible shape, felt terrible, life was a struggle. And I look back at it, it was like a blessing in disguise because I learned at age 21 how to take care of my body properly. And obviously, I'm not the most disciplined guy. I can always improve. Like I'm not ripped, I'm not jacked, like I could hit the gym more, could eat cleaner. But overall, I feel great. And it's because I learned at age 21 what causes the body to be healthy and what causes it to be unhealthy, and started to put those things into action. So when it comes to longevity, I think gut health, if your gut is leaking, for instance, your life's gonna be miserable. And if you're not already seeing many symptoms, even skin conditions, I've had people take this yogurt and their acne goes away, or eczema or psoriasis starts to reduce. It's just your gut health really has everything to do with your body, including longevity. So if you're allowing your body to continue to be inflamed and toxic, because if your gut is leaking, you're gonna be toxic because it's leaking into your bloodstream. Sure. You're gonna have inflammation. So it's just it's one of those fundamental things. I wouldn't even suggest doing heavy detox until you heal your gut, because you're still just getting more toxins into your body until you it's like a boat with leaks in it or something. It's sinking, right? You gotta plug the plug the holes first and then bail out the boat. I'd say like fixing the holes in the boat is getting your gut fixed first.

SPEAKER_00

I've often heard of this term called like the gut-brain connection. Can you explain a little bit about that?

SPEAKER_02

There's definitely a connection there neurologically with neurotransmitters. We talked about that already. Um it's not something I've actually gone deep into personally. A lot of my research has been based on problems that I've encountered in life. And I handled the anxiety when I was 20. And I did use some herbal things. Like there was a herb called Kava Kava that was really good that helped calm the nerves. Umnesium can help. Anyway, I haven't gotten deep into it, but my feeling is that the opposite side, what Western medicine or conventional doctors tell you that you have a chemical imbalance is not the truth. There's another lie. And I think that's evidenced by people that take these medications and they're not, they're on antidepressants, but they're not happy. They're on anti-anxiety medications, but they're still anxious or worried. So to me, that's evidence that is the wrong solution. And so by healing your gut, improving everything to do with your health, I think you just can't help but feel better. And that's, I guess, my take on it.

SPEAKER_00

Now, we did talk about a lot of lies. We talked about some controversies, but you know, controversies obviously they come up quite a bit, and people tend to love them, usually because there's some truth in them. Right. Right. Um, what are what are some of the biggest controversies you found that actually were true?

SPEAKER_02

Okay, well, when COVID came out, my initial thought was this is a scam. I was calling it the pan a scandemic or pandemic. I could see through that lie. Here's the thing when I was 21, that's when I first became a conspiracy theorist or a conspiracy realist, I think is more accurate. Because I could see back then that the medical system was not designed for us to be healthy. I was like, wait a minute, this is bullshit. And then I was like, oh, what else is bullshit? And I found out, well, the banking system, there's a whole fraud. And it looks like to me, most organized industries have some level of corruption in them, if not a complete 180 inversion of at least the people at the top are evil intentioned. Oftentimes the foot soldiers at the bottom level are don't even understand that they're part of a broken system. But um, I don't know, 9-11, that was obviously an inside job. I mean, we're getting off topic of health now, but when I see something happen in the news, I first the first thing I suspect is that it's planned and it's staged. And then I look back, well, who benefits from what's going on right now? Whether it's an invasion of a country or somebody's been getting bombed or whatever is going on. I'm suspect. And I think that's the one thing that's good to be these days is suspect. Sure. And question your government, question the media, even the the people who are, you know, social media influencers, and I think a lot of them are either misguided or on the payroll of of the bad guys, also.

SPEAKER_00

You know, it's interesting because when I started out in my career, you know, um, it my industry was also very corrupt. And uh, I'll give you just a couple examples. You know, Hurricane Sandy hits the northeast. This is when I started to realize a pattern of people getting sick inside their homes. And water was coming in from all different directions, top down, bottom up. Didn't matter. You know, there was floods, there was roof damage, there was all kinds of water coming in from all kinds of places. But yet they just followed the same standard, cut two foot off the bottom of the floor. Doesn't make sense if the water came from above, doesn't matter, that's just what they did. The insurance companies, they were paying out, there weren't enough people. I mean, they were literally bussing people in from all over the country to they were putting t-shirts on people and just sending them into homes. It was really the wild, wild west. And uh I noticed people getting sick thereafter. And um, that's when I started to open my eyes. Okay, this is a big problem. Then you look at the remediation standards and you see that, okay, they at that time, 2012, they weren't really that thorough enough. You know, uh they weren't talking about things like mycotoxins or the toxins produced by certain species of mold. They don't really hardly ever talk about bacteria, but that also is a big problem as part of a water damage building. And then, you know, in terms of insurance, there's a whole industry that typically pays and foots the bill for these places to get repaired. Well, they're incentivized to pay as little as possible, right? And so, so what do you think they do? They pay as little as possible. Guy like me comes in and wants to do something the right way that says, hey, you should really be doing this, this, and this. Here's why, here's all the science behind it. Well, they don't want to pay me because they know they can pay some other guy down the street to do it for a quarter of the price and do a quarter of the work, right? Right. And so you really start to see, well, who benefits from this setup? Unfortunately, the people that benefit the most are not the people that live in these homes.

SPEAKER_02

Right. And to your point, I one of the reasons I really ad admire and respect what you do is here in Florida, it's very humid, as you know, and rains a lot in the summer, especially when it's hot. So I learned the hard way that my air conditioning air handler up in the attic was just filled with mold. And we had an air conditioning company coming twice a year to inspect and clean. They're cleaning the system, Michael. And then I had a mold expert come in and he said, This is the worst system I've seen in 20 years. And I was floored that that it could get that bad, and that a company that is on the payroll to come out every uh six months to check it out, were allowing it to be that they were spraying simple green cleaner on it. They weren't even wiping it down, they were just like, oh, that should do it. Next. Anyway, they're putting my wife and my family and I in danger and just doing it. I don't know what they're if they're just turning a blind eye or they're not educated in it, but they're definitely lazy and irresponsible. So when I see what you're doing with cleaning up indoor air and how important that is, I think you know that's something people should definitely check out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, I appreciate that. Yeah, I think it's it's there's a lot of problems on this planet, as we uh have always come to realize. And obviously the solutions are always the simple ones.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And with indoor air quality, it's really as simple as you find the source, you remove the source, you clean up the byproducts. And it's really those three simple steps. And of course, there's like many little subproducts within those products, but you know, that's the simplicity of it. And unfortunately, for some reason, we tend to make things overcomplicated so that we get confused. And then, of course, because of that confusion, we don't get the right thing. So, in that in that example, you've got an HVAC company. Well, they think they can just spray that down, right? And twice a year they're coming in and they're it's getting worse, obviously, because you had an inspector come in and was like, this is the worst.

SPEAKER_02

That's a minimum they could have done.

SPEAKER_00

Sure. They didn't do anything, they just sprayed it down, but then obviously it had to be getting worse. They didn't say anything to you.

SPEAKER_02

No, yeah, they didn't show me pictures or anything like that. It was up to us to find it as a problem and handle it. And both my wife and I actually tested positive for mold toxicity, as you can imagine. And so, yeah, I mean, obviously, stopping that is a is important, and then obviously cleaning up your body is important. But the good news is that all these things can be handled and you move on with your life, and you go, shit, I wish I knew that, but now I do. So what's the next challenge?

SPEAKER_00

What's the next challenge? Well, so we got basically a nice little protocol here. We want to have a clean house, so you breathe clean air. Um, because so many of us do not have clean homes and breathe clean air, uh, we're gonna have destroyed guts. So we're gonna need to deal with that. Luckily, you've created an amazing product to help people get that uh delivery system in properly and not by the expensive and not as good store-bought products. And uh obviously we start to kind of do these things, we detox, right? There, we have we could do something about this, in other words.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. And it's really simple too. Like, you're absolutely correct. When any whenever you hear someone trying to make something sound complicated, you know, that's another like just my bullshit alarm goes off when I hear that. Why are you making this so complicated? Why are you trying to confuse people? What are you trying to hide?

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Usually the answer is simple. The human body is is complex, but it works on simple principles. And like you were saying, like stopping the problem from coming in, cleaning out the problems is there, and you know, getting the proper nutrients in there and get your mood and your your outlook on life in in the right direction. And, you know, it's a miraculous what people can do and how they can heal.

SPEAKER_00

Craig, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to be here with us. Can you tell everybody where where can people find you?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think the best place would be to check me at x.com forward slash craigbrocchi. We've got about 245,000 followers there right now. I'd love to have more. And that's where we post the most. And then if they want my free resources, they go to craigbroccie.com forward slash free. That's where they can get the peptide cheat sheet. They can get my whole book for free, and then also the uh semaglutide or GLP1 protocol.

unknown

Good.

SPEAKER_00

And where do we get this bad boy?

SPEAKER_02

If they go to Amazon.com, that's probably the best place. If you go to Amazon.com forward slash ultimate, our brand's called Ultimate Health Solutions, they can find that and love to have more people using our probiotic yogurt maker and helping more people.

unknown

Good.

SPEAKER_00

We'll find them. I'll be coming over at some point and we'll be making some yogurt so we can try it out. So I really appreciate it. Uh well, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to be here with us. And thank you for watching another episode of Never Been Sicker. I'm your host, Indo Air Quality Expert, Michael Rubino. Until next time.
